About The Event

Stanislaus Pagan Unity Festival, formerly held by the same planning committee and The AUP as Stanislaus Pagan Pride Day and Modesto Pagan Pride Day, is the original conception of the local Pagan community of Stanislaus County California and The Association of United Pagans. Over the years it has evolved from a simple rally of Pagan merchants to a more complex gathering of Pagan friendlies and Fae spirits enjoying the pleasantries of workshops, merchants, mouth watering foods and much fun for all.

Yes it is true that we had a falling out with the Pagan Pride Project as we just did not see eye to eye. And yes they have a new event planned. Long story but there is certainly enough room in the Central Valley for multiple events.

Starting in 2008 the Stanislaus Pagan Unity Festival will host our First Annual Pagan Leadership Conference.  The conference will be held mid-day. The format of the conference will be a roundtable brainstorming session of well known Pagan leaders and facilitated by Elise Fisher, President of The AUP. Don't be surprised if you recognize a few well known faces around the event.

Expectations of Planning Committees

The SPUF committees are to act as smaller cells of the whole and they are to gather information, contacts, and ideas. These committees are also to carry out and implement actions that have be approved by the community majorities.

An example of this would be the advertising committee, their job is to contact local media with event/fundraiser information, approved PSA announcements, and posting print media at appropriate venues.

As we move forward there well be more to do for some committees and less to do for others. Everyone is welcome to get involved and just because you aren't on a committee doesn't mean you can't help!
